The dental plaque is really not beautiful and quite unaesthetic for the people, but also carrying a lot of micro-organisms, which may seriously harm and dental health. The dental plaque is consisted from micro-organisms, ingredients of the saliva, peeling oral mucosa cells and specific carbohydrate. It is invisible to the naked eye, but collected from the tooth surface contains a large number of bacterias and really increases the problems on the teeth.
The dental plaque appears 2 hours after washing the teeth and in the beginning the number of micro-organisms is quite small, but constantly increases. In the beginning the micro-organisms are usually aerobes, which are typical for the mouth, but later, then the conditions in the dental plaque are changing to anaerobes pathogens. The tartar is stronger and is ideal reservoir of toxic bacterial products, which seriously harm and damage the gums. The dental tartar cannot be removed with a brush and toothpaste, but only can be treated by a dentist in a clinic.
