Skaling and Polishing of the teeth

The professional dental care can be done only the in the dentist office. The professional cleaning and whitening of the teeth is consisted of Skaling, Root Planing and Polishing. Each of the processes have its purpose and will clean a part of your mouth fully.
The skaling is a process of remove of the plaque and the tartar from the surfaces of the teeth. The skaling can be done mechanically and manually, each having own advantages and disadvantages. The Ultrasound skaling is cleaning of the teeth, called Kavitron, which is used to remove coarse deposits of the tartar. After cleaning with ultrasonic apparatus it is highly recommended to be done manually, which will give you fine cleaning of small sediments. Even with the small ends, ultrasound can not achieve the quality that is achieved with fine hand tools. The hand skaling used to clean the youngest deposits on the tooth and root surfaces. Therefore, if you have small deposits or after you had already ultrasonic cleaners, you must be manually applied cleaning. Here are the essential skills of the dentist/hygienist. We use specially developed periodontal instruments with different sizes and different shapes.
The polishing is done on the surfaces of the teeth with specially developed dental polishing paste. There are two types of popular polish profile jet polishing and polishing with toothpaste, brushes and erasers. The professional jet polishing is done by special machines that spray high-pressure water mixed with baking soda on the surface of your teeth. Pressure water wash residue from the plate and baking of deposits removes and neutralizes the acidic environment in your mouth. Polishing with an eraser, brushes and polishing paste is made with a slow speed handpiece. Toothpaste containing abrasives and fluoride is applied to the rubbers, respectively, on the brush. Abrasives and removes stains caused stain and fluoride strengthen enamelling surface. As jet profiling and polishing paste enriched with different flavors and refresh the mouth. Both methods work well and effectively remove stains and of deposits, although jet profiling is done faster.
