Dental plaqueThe dental plaque is a sticky, bacterial mass that forms on teeth above and below the edge of the gum. The dental plaque is really not beautiful and quite unaesthetic for the people, but also carrying a lot of micro-organisms, which may seriously harm and dental health. The dental plaque is consisted from micro-organisms, ingredients of the saliva, peeling oral mucosa cells and specific carbohydrate. It is invisible to the naked eye, but collected from the tooth surface contains a large number of bacterias and really increases the problems on the teeth.
The dental plaque appears 2 hours after washing the teeth and in the beginning the number of micro-organisms is quite small, but constantly increases. In the beginning the micro-organisms are usually aerobes, which are typical for the mouth, but later, then the conditions in the dental plaque are changing to anaerobes pathogens. In this case the depth of the plaque in increasing and is mineralized under the influence of minerals in the saliva and becomes tartar. The tartar is stronger and is ideal reservoir of toxic bacterial products, which seriously harm and damage the gums. The dental tartar cannot be removed with a brush and toothpaste, but only can be treated by a dentist in a clinic. The strict dental care is important to prevent your teeth from tartar and dental plaque.

Dentures care and behavior

Dentures healthThe loss of teeth usually is treated with dentures and the people, which are having such problems should quickly consult with dentist and doctors. Definitely the dentures care is quite complicated and there is certain mode and behavior of the patients wearing removable dentures.
First, the dentures cause a complains from sense nausea and vomiting. This is usually called “vomiting reflex” and is only the first trouble, which the patient with removable dentures should overcome. Usually this sense is only for a couple of minutes or hours and can be overcome with deeply breathing through your nose and avoid conversation in the first hours after placing the dentures. Also the large salivation is frequently met after placement of removable dentures. This is caused by the foreign body in the mouth, but the organism quickly adapt to the presence of dentures in the mouth. The saliva is normalizing in the first hours of putting the removable dentures, so the patient will adapt to the dentures up to a day.
The embarrassed speech is part from having a removable dentures. This is another feature, which the patient should adapt to. The problem is usually normalizing for a couple of days and the process can be speed up by reading aloud. Once the patient adapt to the dentures the speech is normalizing and the patient will have the normal comfortability. Of course the main problem of the dentures is the nutrition. On the first days of having a removable dentures, the patient has pretty bad nutrition and cannot adapt to the foreign body in the mouth. So it is recommended for one week, the patient to remove the dentures and to eat without them. The full adapting to this is really heavy process and the patient needs of about 3-4 mouth for fully adaption with the dentures and feed with no problem.
